Save for Standard: merge investments
Saving up for Demigods, alt arts or other expensive Standard items? Every league merges into Standard. These currencies cost less in your league now than they sell for in Standard, after paying the spread on both sides. Buy them now and sell after the merge, and if prices hold you end up with more Divines or Mirrors to spend. Only currencies Standard actually trades are shown.
Why merge investments help you save
When your league ends, everything in it merges into Standard, including the currency you hold. If you plan to buy expensive Standard items such as Demigod's items or alt arts, the useful question is which currency you can buy cheaply now and sell in Standard for more Divines or Mirrors later.
This page doesn't list prices for Demigod's items or alt arts. It shows how to grow the Divines or Mirrors you will spend on them. Check the items themselves on the trade site.
How to read the table
Under Measure gains against holding, choose Divine or Mirror, whichever you want more of. The gain column shows how much more of it a currency would leave you with after the merge, once both spreads are paid. Enter an amount under Divine to invest and open a row to see how many units you would buy, what they cost, what Standard would pay for them, and how long your units would take to sell compared with Standard's total daily volume of that currency.
Click a column header to sort, or use Find a currency to look up one you already hold.
What to check before you buy
Standard volume: a currency Standard barely trades is hard to sell. By default the page hides currencies Standard trades less than 20 Divine of per day, and currencies Standard traded in fewer than a quarter of the hours of the week. You can change both limits, or use Show them to see everything.
Merge supply: how many times more the league trades a currency than Standard does. All of that stock lands in Standard at once, so a high figure means Standard's price will probably fall toward the league's.
How the numbers work
- Prices. For both leagues, each currency's Divine price comes from its market against Divine, else against Chaos, using the last 7 days of GGG's hourly trades. The median is over the week. The range you'd trade at is the middle of the lowest and highest traded ratio over the last few active hours, so it follows today's price.
- Both spreads. You buy at the top of the league's range and sell at the bottom of Standard's, so a price difference smaller than the two spreads shows as a loss.
- Gain in Divine or Mirror. Your Divines and Mirrors merge into Standard too, so the question is whether the currency buys more of them after the merge than holding them would. Each is priced in its own league: (sell price ÷ Standard's Divine or Mirror) ÷ (buy price ÷ the league's) − 1. A currency can gain in Divine and lose in Mirror when Mirrors are worth relatively more in Standard.
- Standard volume. What Standard trades of the currency per day, in Divine, averaged over the week. Below your minimum it's hidden: an item you can't sell isn't worth holding.
- Standard traded. One tick per hour of the week, filled where Standard traded the currency and blank where it was silent, with the count of active hours. A solid bar is a market you can enter and leave at will; a gappy one trades in bursts, so you may wait days to sell, and its price between bursts is a guess. Hide the gappy ones with the share of hours Standard must have traded in.
- Merge supply. How many times more the league trades than Standard. All of that stock lands in Standard at once, so a high figure means Standard's price will probably fall toward the league's.
What these numbers leave out
- Prices are today's. Both leagues will move before the merge, and the merge itself floods Standard with every league's stock.
- Seven days is still a small sample for a market that trades a few times a day, and a league's first week looks nothing like its last.
- League-only items that don't trade in Standard yet can't be priced, so they don't appear.
- Currency Exchange gold fees are not included.
